    How It Works

    1. Staff Member Has a Need for Leave – Whether the circumstance is planned (e.g., vacation travel) or unplanned (e.g., personal situation), a staff member recognizes a need to take time off from work.
    2. Leave Request Submitted – Staff member uses Foundations™ to submit a leave request – details include leave type, date range, and justification. Before submitting, color codes indicate the likelihood of approval for each date.
    3. Leave Request Received – Administrator reviews a dashboard of requests with submission dates, requestors, statuses, comments, and more.
    4. Decision About Request Communicated – Administrator accepts or denies each request based on provided details and system recommendations. Decisions and comments are relayed through a built-in messaging platform.
    5. Resolution for Leave Request – If accepted, staff member takes requested leave. Denied requests can be discussed with management or resubmitted.
